The new year has ushered in some exciting changes to Lenny and Joe’s Fish Tale. We have begun renovations at our Madison location. Our purpose of these improvements is to provide our customers with a better overall dining experience.
Our first goal is to achieve more bathroom space. We are able to accomplish this by moving the restrooms to where the lobster stand had been located. As a result, we will more than double our restroom facilities. Work has already begun.
Our second priority is to provide greater choices on our menu. In order to accomplish this we plan on a small addition to the existing building. This new space allows us to steam, broil, sautee, and charbroil your favorite seafood items.
Our third goal is to become more energy efficient. We recently installed new, high efficiency, lighting, refridgeration, and on demand water heaters. We have also worked with our vendors to minimize deliveries on our dry product. These investments and changes in the way we do business will have an immediate impact on our energy consumption.
The impetus behind the improvements in 2010 is for the enjoyment of our customers. Since 1979, we promised to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices with prompt and cheerful service. Our dedication to that promise has never been stronger. Our hope is that when the work is done and the dust settles that you better enjoy your visits here. In the meantime, pardon our appearance.
Lenny and Joe were presented with Bobbleheads of themselves as a Christmas Gift this year! Everyone loves as they just shake their heads up and down now when they are asked for anything!
The Shoreline’s Original Fresh Fish Fry is Back at Both Locations. It is available at both locations all day Wednesday at Lunch & Dinner!

We have not raised any of our menu food prices since early Spring of 2008. For over 30 years we have cheerfully served generous portions of the very freshest and finest seafood at very reasonable prices.The Fish Tale Restaurants have always been the best and biggest bang for your family’s seafood dining dollar.
Lenny & Joe’s Fish Tale was named The Best Seafood Restaurant in Middlesex County by the Readers of Connecticut Magazine in January 2010. We were also voted runner up in seafood in the entire state. We were selected for the Best Family Dining in New Haven County.
The Fish Tale won a number of accolades in the 2009 Best of the Shoreline in the Shoreline Newspapers.
We were winners in the following categories: Best Seafood Restaurant, Best Chowder, Best Hotdog or Hotdog Stand.
