Starting Memorial Day Weekend The Magical Charity Carousel is Open Daily (weather permitting). The Carousel is a joint venture of both Fish Tales and is at the Madison location.
Our hours are:
Sunday-Thursday: Noon-8 pm
Friday-Sunday: Noon-8:30 pm
On May 19th we received a very heartwarming e-mail from Katie Kane. She wrote:
“I promised my mother before she died I would come back to Madison.
She lived there since the 1980s and we’d spent many summers when we were kids as well. Now I live in Missouri!
After her memorial at West Point, where her ashes now rest with my father (May 12), we drove to Monterey, MA to see their old house built in 1750. After two days in that area, on the 14th, we drove down to Madison, for one last walk on the beach, and for lobster rolls and shrimp at the Fish Tale (a short walk from her former home).
We treated her neighbor to lunch that day too.
Little did I know we were eating famous lobster rolls (Coastal Living was here when we got home Saturday).
The collection of tee shirts is long gone, and the boys are now men, but here’s a picture of us three “regulars” for many years. This was taken Friday. By the way, Mom was allergic to shellfish but she carefully ate just a FEW of the shrimp, as a big treat, when we would pick up our take-away and go back to the house.

We had another exciting Baby born this week. On April 11th- Josh Barry, our seafood buyer, and his wife Holly (who met Josh while waitressing here) had a beautiful baby girl. Eleanor Blue Barry was 7lbs 9oz and 181/2 lbs. Everyone is doing beautifully, including the beautiful older sister Hannah who is 7 years old. We are proud of the many happy marriages and beautiful children from couples that met while working at Lenny & Joe’s!
Lenny and Joe were presented with Bobbleheads of themselves as a Christmas Gift this year! Everyone loves as they just shake their heads up and down now when they are asked for anything!
Lenny & Joe’s Fish Tale was named The Best Seafood Restaurant in Middlesex County by the Readers of Connecticut Magazine in January 2010. We were also voted runner up in seafood in the entire state. We were selected for the Best Family Dining in New Haven County.
The Fish Tale won a number of accolades in the 2009 Best of the Shoreline in the Shoreline Newspapers.
We were winners in the following categories: Best Seafood Restaurant, Best Chowder, Best Hotdog or Hotdog Stand.
